2009 , Dr Brain ( Family Practice ) , Lily (physical therapist ) and local brother Vlad went to a small house lived with a 17 yr old boy who all of a sudden can not get out of bed . Two legs were crooked , frozen, tightened which makes the family really hard to take care. We went and offered some help to the family.
Vlad was the significant local brother who assisted us in translation. God has gifted him with language ability, with a sincere heart just 5 years after him recieving christ into his heart. Since then, we keep communication from time to time. During lily's time in kyrgyzstan, vlad has come at times to assist boys' home work , and become our boys' local big brother.
Vlad has hard life during his life journey, at 17 yr of age, he lost his dad from alcoholism, was a delivery boy for his mother's bakery store. Young age, he has to carry lots of labor work , make much doughs for living till he descided to come to the big town to seek better work. Because of his hard life, sometimes, he does not get to eat regularly, not too much belongings, and not certain what he would like to be... for the future.
When Vlad comes to our town, for his comfortability, I decided to find a place to accomodate him. Our apartment is small, only 2 100sqft rooms ( 1 for parents , and another room for 3 boys to stay-in , one living room w attached kitchen ) So, one time, to avoid over nite traveling between towns, lily had to request him staying in a bible school dorm near by. Also, took him for a stomach check up, since he suffered pain in stomach with an extensive ulcer problem. We had shared much of his younger time story.. . 2010 when we had to transit back to states, Vlad has yet decided to go to Quatar and work in the airport , for 2 years, to save and earn . Over there ,6 workers crowded in a , not with different in sleeping pattern and lack of steady christian fellowship, we only were able to talk shortly on skype but not much due to the business of me transiting US as well. He maybe earning more overseas, but inside he was not satisfied...Thanks to God, he decided to return to his home land.
4 yrs later,in 2017 when lily returned for a revisit and to assist a 2 yrs old young boy with hand deformity, What a surprise & Joy to find out vlad is planning to be interviewed into a bible school to study! The Lord has strengthen him and opened his eye to dedicate his life for him!! How amazed! This April he will be speaking in front of students to share message from Act 10 about the unclean animals vision God has shown to him... Here is his prayer summary , and we will for sure dedicate time to pray for our 1st generation church brother's and sisters in this hard area.
